AN appeal has gone out after a black cat was found living as a stray near Cunningham Terrace in Newton Stewart.

The cat, nicknamed Tee Cee by a worried neighbour who has been feeding her, is believed to have been living rough since her owners moved away several months ago.

Sally Adam of the local Cats Protection group who have been looking after her recently said: “She’s friendly and has been fed by a kind resident in Cunningham Terrace who became more and more concerned for the cat.

“She’s now in the care of Cats Protection and is being fostered by one of our volunteers in the area. We are trying to find her owners before looking for a new home for her. We think she’s about five years old, but that is a guess.”

Sally added that the cat was in quite good condition when the Protection took her in.

Anyone who thinks it may be their cat please get in touch with Cats Protection Stranraer District on 0845 371 2759 or email catsprotection01@btconnect.com .
