The Post Office has confirmed it will continue to offer a hosted outreach service in Carsphairn.
The Lagwyne Hall branch, which was previously located at Carricks in the village, closed temporarily in January of this year because of the ill health of the subpostmaster.
The Post Office has since then been actively working to find an alternative way of providing Post Office services to customers and, after a period of public consultation, say the service is now fully restored.
The new service will be provided by a subpostmaster from Dalmellington Post Office on Thursday from 9.30am until 11.30am.
Post Office Area Manager Kenny Lamont said: “We are confident that the hosted outreach service in Carsphairn is the best way to meet the needs of our customers and also ensure the longer term viability of Post Office services in the area.”
