Carson visits Coronation Day Centre

Galloway MSP Finlay Carson paid a visit to the Coronation Day Centre in Stranraer this week where he had lunch and took part in some activities.

Commenting on his visit, Mr Carson said: “The Coronation Day Centre is a fantastic facility of major importance to the communities of Stranraer and surrounding villages. It is open five days a week and offers users a delicious home-cooked lunch and an afternoon of entertainment.

“Over lunch at the Centre on Monday I had the opportunity to chat with some of the people who use the facility, and everybody I spoke to told me how much they value the Centre, its staff and the services that it provides.

“After lunch I took part in some bowling, which was great fun, and even spoke to someone who knew my Aunt Betty – it’s a small world.

“If anyone is interested in joining the Centre they should get in touch with the Centre Manager.

“I would like to thank everybody, particularly the staff, who made me very welcome on Monday. It was a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours and I take this opportunity to wish the Coronation Day Centre every success for the future. I look forward to visiting again soon”.
