Cannabis worth millions intercepted at Cairnryan Port

A BOLTON man appeared in private at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Tuesday after police discovered £2.5 million of cannabis at Cairnryan Port.

Police intercepted the haul after it was discovered in a van on Friday night.

Appearing before Sheriff Kenneth Robb, 39-year old Paul Graham Greenhalgh made no plea or declaration upon being charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, and was released on bail.

The case was continued for further examination.
