Newton Stewart artist Evelyn Mackintosh recently donated a specially painted portrait entitled “All at Sea at St Medan’s” to generate funds for the Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre.

A draw was organised to choose a winner and that person was Joan Rhind of Wigtown.

This photograpj shows, from left to right: the rescue centre’s commercial director Gerry Campbell and his DGCRC dog Ruby, Joan Rhind, Evelyn Mackintosh and Brenda Crewe, a local supporter of the centre who organised the draw, holding Porridge, who appears in the painting.
