With just five weeks until Wigtown Show organisers have been working hard to put together a fantastic line up of attractions.

For this year’s show taking place at Bladnoch Park on Wednesday 2nd August there are cookery demonstrations by TV chef Nick Nairn, the fantastic, fun & educational Sheep Show and children’s entertainment all through the day.

Coming to Wigtown Show for the first time is the UK’s number one Monster Truck Team - Big Pete and the Grim Reaper – these huge vehicles will be on display all day before performing in the main ring in the afternoon however the morning is when the real stars of the show are out and about – the livestock!

Entries for livestock are due in by 2nd July and whether you’re a regular exhibitor or have been inspired by the recent Royal Highland Show, a warm welcome awaits you at Wigtown Show so don’t delay sending your entries in.

Wigtown Show is hosting this year’s Beltex Scotland National Show so additional sheep exhibitors from all over the country are expected.

The honour of deciding Wigtown Show’s Champion of Champions 2017 goes to local and notable stockman Mr Hugh Ramsay MBE of Millisle, Garlieston.

Some of his famous Clydesdale horses will grace the main ring in the afternoon taking part in the horse driving competitions.
