The pupils of Portpatrick Primary enjoyed a Burns lunch in the company of grandparents and friends this week.
All the children were allowed to invite others to join them in school for a tasty haggis lunch, cooked by Barbara, the school catering manager.
The haggis was addressed by Ruth in Primary 7, before everyone enjoyed lunch in the company of their guests.
After the haggis, the grandparents and friends enjoyed some shortbread with tea or coffee.
The children sang some Scots songs, accompanied by Mrs Parker on the piano, to the assembled audience to conclude the afternoon.
It was a successful lunch date for the community, with one granny even passing her compliments to the chef, Barbara, and asking where she bought the delicious haggis.
