Supporters of Ethel Brolls Children of the World Knitting Appeal will have to post items to the charity Blythswood Care from January.

Previously, Glasgow-based Blythswood Care organised monthly collections of items donated to Ethel’s well-suppoerted appeal, but the charity is changing its collection system and is no longer able to pick up the boxes at Newton Stewart.

Therefore, knitters are being asked to postal their charity items straight to Blythswood’s depot, marked for the attention of Margaret Tooth, to 35 Montrose Avenue, Hillington, Glasgow G52 4LA.

At the same time, please send Ethel a message to let her know how many items sent and what they are (hats, mitts, jumpers etc).

Ethel from Whithorn said: “I would like to thanks Blythswood Care for helping to achieve this year’s fantastic record of 18,315 items!”
