A Stranraer motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital on Saturday after a collison on the outskirts of Creetown.
A police spokesman said that the crash happened at around 5pm on the A75 at Castlecary lay-by, near Creetown.
The spokesman said: “The accident involved a Nissan Maxima car being driven by a 69-year-old man from Hawick and he had a 68-year-old female passenger.
“Neither of them were injured.
“The second vehicle was a Yamaha 1300 motorcycle being driven by a 48-year-old man from Stranraer.
“He received severe bruising and an injury to his wrist and was taken to DGRI by helicopter. Both vehicles were damaged.”
