Attempted robbery in Stranraer

Police in Stranraer are appealing for witnesses after an unknown male entered a house on Lewis Street in a suspected burglary.

The man was seen in Burnbank at around 1.15am on Thursday 22 January but was disturbed by the householder and made off.

It is unclear at this stage whether anything was stolen.

The suspect is described as in his 20’s, 5ft 6, medium build, clean shaven and was wearing a black jumper with a red and blue triangle or diamond on the chest area and black trousers. Police are currently carrying out door to door enquiries and viewing CCTV.
