An exhibition of paintings by the Dalry artist Ian Gascoyne has just opened in the studio in the Tolbooth Art Centre, Kirkcudbright.
Ian has painted for most of his life and has lived in this area for the past 15 years. He trained in Bristol and latterly with Sam Mullen at the George Street School of Art, Dumfries.
He paints in oil on board and his work covers a diverse range of subjects from semi-abstract to figurative and landscape. Several of his works have been reproduced as prints and are offered for sale in this exhibition.
His exhibition in the Tolbooth runs until next Saturday, November 9. The Tolbooth is open Monday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm, and admission is free.
