The Riders Branch of Legion Scotland presents the cheque to SSAFA Wigtownshire.

On Saturday at the Armed Forces Day Celebrations in Agnew Park, Stranraer a very generous cheque to the value of £500 was presented by The Riders Branch of Legion Scotland to SSAFA Wigtownshire.

The Riders are the largest branch of the Royal British legion Scotland and utilise their passion for motor cycles to raise funds in support of ex-service personnel and their dependant families finding themselves in need.

SSAFA (the UK’s oldest military charity) provide the trained volunteers that visit the ex-service personnel, assess their eligibility and requirements, source the necessary funding for the required services or goods. All funds raised by SSAFA Wigtownshire are only spent on Wigtownshire Veterans.
