Alzheimer Scotland stories lead to awards ceremony

An awards evening was held recenty at Wigtown County Buildings for a Wigtownshire-wide Alzheimer Scotland story competition.

Creetown Primary, Douglas Ewart High School, Drochduil Primary, Kirkinner Primary, Leswalt Primary, Minnigaff Primary, Port William Primary, and Wigtown Primary

parents and friends took part in the competition with 219 stories entered.

Russell Brown MP; Julie Sinclair, Alzheimer Scotland regional manager and Kate Soriani, literacy coordinator for Dumfries and Galloway presented prizes and around 50 teachers and family members turned out in support. Schools with pupils who entered collected a trophy and a certificate for each child and prize winners received a trophy and a book token.
