WHITHORN’s biking Reverend has raised around £1200 for charity with his recent ‘Three Saints and a Sinner’ marathon treck.
The Rev. Alex Currie of St Ninian’s Priory Whithorn completed his ride visiting Holy Island, Iona and the Isle of Whithorn. Reverend Currie said: “The weather was well, there was lots of it and mostly of the wrong kind. I’m sure Loch Lomond emptied itself on me as I passed by! In all, I completed 463 miles in eight days from Iona to Lindisfarne and back to the Isle. At the moment it looks as if around £1200 has been raised.” For the last leg of the journey from Dumfries on Monday he was accompanied by Robert Rowley from the Isle.
