POLICE have traced two youths after a dark blue Vauxhall Astra had a windscreen smashed as it was parked at the Mill Flats, Kirkcudbright at around 3am on Sunday, January 17. A number of tyres were also slashed in the incident.
Police report that two youths, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old, have been traced and charged in relation to the damage.
A local 15-year-old boy will be reported to the Children's Reporter in relation to the vandalism.
Police are keen to speak to a number of youths seen in the area around the time of the incident.

Witnesses to an assault in Stranraer are being sought after a local 27-year-old man was assaulted in Rose Street at around 8.30pm on Friday, January 15.
The victim was taken to Galloway Community Hospital to receive treatment on some minor head injuries. Anyone who witnessed the assault is asked to contact police.
A local 26-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to a theft that occurred on Sunday, January 17, in Newton Stewart.
