BOSSES at British Telecom (BT) are proposing to close a number of telephone boxes across Galloway.

However, if there are good reasons to keep a phone box open, Dumfries and Galloway Council could stop this happening.
Perhaps mobile phone coverage is poor, or the area is an accident blackspot.
To have your say, you need to complete a form indicating the phone box you want to save and your reasons.
Your local customer service centre will have the forms, as will libraries.
You can also call the following number and a form will be sent out to you: 01557 330291.
Go to the website at www.dumgal.gov.uk/consultation and click on "phone box consultation" to fill in the form online or download it, print it and send it back to the council.
If you are sending your form back to the council, place it in an envelope and send it to: FREEPOST, Dumfries and Galloway Council, SCO 7209, DG1 2BR. No stamp is required.
Forms must be returned by Friday, 16 May.
