THE people of Wigtowshire are being called upon to take part in a new TV series which aims to help people track down blood relatives.

"DNA Stories" are searching for people seeking to find out more about members of their family or resolve relationship issues through the use of DNA.
The documentary-style programme is looking for a younger audience from the area to take part in the series and hopes to be able to put an end to family mysteries.
Joanne Curtis from the Scottish Media Group who make the show told the Gazette: "We're trying to cover the whole country so that everyone can be involved if they want to discover something about their family.
"We've had such success stories as a woman tracing her only remaining family member- an aunt - and others discovering who their real father is."
Participants are interviewed about their history in the comfort of their own home, where the DNA sample is also taken. Joined by their family or friends, they then meet presenter Lorraine Kelly on a private television set, where the potentially life-changing results are revealed.
DNA Technical Manager Mandy Hartley explains: "Many people think they've found a long-lost relative but are scared to make an emotional bond until they know for sure they're related, and that's where we can help. DNA testing can help bring people the relief and emotional support they may have spent years looking for."
If you are interested in appearing on the programme, we want to hear from you! Please contact the production team on 0871 827 5020 or email dnastories@stv.tv
Those who call will be under no obligation to take part, and all information is completely confidential.
