RESCUE teams were called out to Brighouse Bay near Kirkcudbright yesterday (Thursday) morning after reports a man had fallen from cliffs.

The alarm was raised at 12.30am after the man became trapped as the notorious Solway tide came in - stranding him just 15ft from the water.
It is believed the man had been out climbing when he fell about 70ft down from the cliff top.
The rescue operation took two hours and the man was eventually stabilised by medics and stretchered to safety before being taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.
Kirkcudbright and Portling Rope Rescue Teams and the RNLI lifeboat from Kirkcudbright were sent to the scene.
The coastguard his issued a warning to walkers to be aware of the Solway tide's unpredictable nature and always tell someone when you're going out.
The incident comes just months after coastguard teams were called to help a man who had fallen from a boat in Loch Ryan, Stranraer.
