A PSYCHIATRIC report has been called on for a 19-year old man who called the coastguard pretending he'd seen a person in distress.
Craig Reid, of Belmont Road, Stranraer admitted twice calling the coastguard in July, first on the 2nd of the month to say he had seen flares over Lochryan and again on July 29th claiming he could see the person in waters near Sandhead.
Sheriff Iain Fleming called for the report and will sentence Reid on September 24th.
