NHS DUMFRIES and Galloway is now the only health board in mainland Scotland without a confirmed case of swine 'flu.
The news comes after a case was confirmed in the Borders on Friday morning, just a day after 111 new cases were confirmed across the country.
Health board chiefs are maintaining that Galloway will not avoid the virus as 850 have now been confirmed in Scotland since the outbreak.
Experts are working on a vaccination which is expected to be delivered to the public in October.
