KIRKCUDBRIGHT Academy pupils have raised more than £6000 for their trip to Mongolia later this year.
Thirty-two pupils are fundraising for the trip this October, which will see them spend 18 days undertaking a physically gruelling trek and a community programme where they will help out with building a community centre, teaching and engaging with the community.
A busy festive season saw them carol-singing, baking, selling goods and bag-packing, which has all helped to raise in excess of £6,000 – but they need at least £2450 each.
They will continue to actively fundraise and seek donations from businesses and local organisations. If you’d like to see what’s coming up, visit their website at www.kamongolia.co.uk.
