The Stranraer and Gatehouse of Fleet Macmillan Cancer Support committees joined forces to run a zip wire event at Laggan Outdoor Centre last weekend.
Over 60 people zipped the 820 metres, reaching speeds of up to 45mph.
It came as no surprise to local folk whenf former chair of the Gatehouse of fleet Macmillan Cancer Support committee, 89-year-old Bobby Carson, decided that he was up for the challenge and promptly signed up.
Also taking part was Barbara Irving from Drummore, accompanied by her daughters and grand child; Jformer Stranraer committee chair Jane and husband Hugh Sloan from Leswalt; MP Russell Brown and Conservative councillor Finlay Carson.
Stranraer committee chair Steve Hardy thanked all who took part.
