A new venture for Wigtown Agricultural Society this weekend will be a ‘Social Sunday’ at Bladnoch Park.

Annually, for many years, one Sunday afternoon in July, Bladnoch Park is filled between 12 and 2pm with vintage commercial vehicles taking part in the Ayrshire Commercial Vintage Vehicle Road Run. The Wigtownshire Horse

Driving Club Show also takes place on the same day so there’s a lot to see.

This year, the show Society is joining forces with these organisations, providing teas, coffees, home baking, bar and

children’s entertainment. Ballard’s Catering will also be on hand to provide tasty hot food for everyone. The event coincides with Wigtown Week and is part of their programme so it is hoped that many folk will come along to view over 130 vehicles before they head off mid-afternoon, watch the skill of the horses and handlers and enjoy this informal social gathering, taking place in the showfield on Sunday 13th July from 12noon.
