Over 80 motor cycle fans and their bikes, many of them vintage, descend on on Wigtownshire last weekend to enjoy the scenery and the hospitalilty.

For the past 31 years members of the West of Scotland Vintage Motorcycle Club meet up on a twice yearly basis with the 30 Motorcycle Club of Ulster and this year chose Galloway for their Scottish get-together.

Speaking at Port William harbour on Sunday morning, John Mitchell from the West of Scotland Vintage Motorcycle Club said: “It’s been a great weekend. We spent two nights in Stranraer staying at the North West Castle and have been to the Mull of Galloway and visited the Gallie Craig restaurant. On Friday we had a tour to Tarbolton where we had lunch. We are now heading to Newton Stewart to have lunch in the Creebridge House Hotel. ”
