Last weekend saw thousands of people descent on The Carse, Tongland to see what the annual Kirkcudbright Country Fair had to offer - and they weren’t disappointed.

Yet another tremendous weekend brought about by the town’s eager Summer Festivities team, the fair saw around 1000 visitors each day who were treated to vintage tractors, arts, crafts, food, clowns and even a beer tent. A fabtastic display from the Galloping Acrobatics went down a storm and the Samba Sisters had everyone moving.

With temperatures peaking at 28 degrees, the committee will be hoping things cool off slightly for the pipers and Scottish dancers who will now put on a free show every Thursday evening until the end of August in the town’s Harbour Square car park.
