The Cree geese

Floods and frost may come and go the two River Cree geese take it all in their stride.

The geese have been living on the riverbanks of the Cree for many years now, and they have recently taken to strolling round the Riverside Car Park, or having an afternoon nap on the riverbank.

Who knows where they disappeared to when the big flood arrive last month but as soon as the waters receded they were back in their usual haunts.

They are an iconic feature of the river and are also well looked after by those who live along side the Cree who feed them regularly.
