Staff at SuperControl booking and management in Castle Douglas have raised £1,325 for the Alexandra Unit at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The team organised a host of in-house events including radio auctions, doughnut days and bonus ball plays. A cheque for £1,325 was presented to nurse Kelly Lumsden and support worker Megan Houstonby Managing Director Robert Kennedy and Sales Executive Shani Asbridge.
In addition to the money raised in-house, the team came up with a plan involving Managing Director Robert Kennedy, to boost funds further.
“We wanted to raise as much money as possible,” Sales Executive Shani Asbridge explains, “so we decided to launch Robert out of a giant slingshot and set up a Just Giving page so that customers and friends could donate to make it happen.”
That took place at Laggan Outdoor Activity Centre last month.
