Strictly Country dancing season in Wigtown

Scotland has a proud record for music and dance, and Wigtown Scottish Country Dance Club is playing its part in keeping traditions alive.

Members are now warming up for another season and are extending their customary invitation to potential new members.

Honorary Treasurer Kate Barclaysaid: “The new season starts at Wigtown Primary School on Tuesday, September 15th at 7.30pm, and anyone interested in joining is simply enjoying the music and dance as a spectator is most welcome.

We have free taster sessions, so come and see us ‘step we gaily’ and join in the fun.

“The club is in a healthy position, boosted by the recent grant of £500 from Wigtown Community Shop.

We are most grateful for the grant and we’re all tapping our feet in readiness for anther successful dance programme.”
