St Ninian’s needs your vote for new playground

Your vote will count to help Saint Ninian’s Primary in Newton Stewart receive funding for a new playground.

The school has been selected by the Tesco ‘Bags of Life’ initiative to receive funding of either £8K, £10K or £12K to develop our playground area. How much money we receive depends on a public vote.

A statement from Tesco said: “The scheme will see community groups and projects awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge.

“The public will now vote in store from 27 February until 6 March on who should receive the £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 awards.”

All of next week the pupils will be involved in promoting ideas and asking members of the local community for their feedback so that we can create a wonderful community space within the playground.
