The Rotary Club of Newton Stewart reacted to the Nepal Earthquake disaster by raising funds for Shelter Boxes.

This response was to requests from Nepal where shelter is a major concern. Rotarians and family members collected £700 from shoppers in a local store last weekend.

President Ken McCubbin said: “We can always be confident that Rotary and the Shelter Box organisation will lead the world in the speedy reaction to disasters on the scale the Nepal Earthquake and we would like to thank our community for answering the call so generously.”
