The Machars Marie Curie Cancer Care fundraising group are holding an 8k ‘Twilight Walk of Life’ at Kirroughtree on Saturday, August 2 and they are looking for Galloway Gazette readers keen to take part.

You can pick up a registration form at Scent O’Galloway, 22-24 Albert Street, Newton Stewart, or call the local fundraising office on 01292 478 328.Pre-register before July 18 and receive a free t-shirt! Registration fee £10 or £20 on the night.

Claire Stuart-Paulin,Community Fundraiser for Wigtownshire, said: “Once you have registered the organisers will send you a sponsor form, any sponsorship raised will be very much appreciated. Come along to the Kirroughtree Forest Park visitor centre between 5.00 – 6.00pm and the walk will start at 6.30pm.

“After the walk there will be live entertainment and inspiration speakers to finish off the evening so stay a while and make a night of it.”
