Do you have a local hero? Or do you know a group of people who make a difference in your community? Is there someone of some group deserving of recognition due to their fundraising, volunteer or charity work?

If you do it’s time to put pen to paper and nominate them for The Galloway Gazette / Rotary Club of Newton Stewart Citizen of the Year or Group of Citizens of the Year.

We are inviting nominations from members of the public for this year’s most deserving local hero or most deserving group for their work improving the lives of others.

The local Rotarians and the Gazette are delighted once again to be jointly promoting the Citizen/s of the Year 2015.

The Rotary Club of Newton Stewart was founded 48 yeas ago and is constantly on the lookout for individuals or groups of individuals who are willing to contribute to making a difference to the lives of others.

Anyone can make a nomination for who they believe has made a telling contribution to life in Newton Stewart and the Machars area. Your nomination does not have to be a prominent, high-powered or famous individual or group of individuals but someone who deserves wider appreciation for their efforts on behalf of the community.

Please provide your contact details and a brief account of why your nomination deserves recognition as well as their contact details.
