A dead ringer for Meat Loaf will be appearing in Kirkcudbright Town Hall on Friday, April 13.
Peat Loaf is now in his 15th year of his tribute to the great guy. Having always been a Meat Loaf fan before he even dreamed of what he is doing now, it was Meat Loaf’s music that inspired him after a motorcycle accident and long road to recovery.
There are many Meat Loaf tributes around the world and although none are as great as the original Bat Out Of Hell, Peat Loaf’s act does him justice. While recovering from his accident Peat Loaf gained weight and with his 22-stone frame and long hair, looked very like Meat Loaf. It was also his love of the music that got him through the depression and hard times and with this Peat decided to set up a Meat Loaf tribute and is now recognised (by Meat Loaf) to be the best tribute to himself.
Peat said: “My gigs are as close as it gets to Meat Loaf. I love all Meat Loaf’s tracks.”
He hails from Scotland, although of course, he sounds like his American idol on stage. The show starts at 8pm and you can get tickets by contacting the ticket hotline 07711849480. Tickets are also available at Halls the Butcher.
