The final Recipe for Success workshop takes place at Stranraer College next week.

Organised by Savour the Flavours, the workshops have been specially designed to help cafes, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality businesses in Dumfries and Galloway become more successful and more profitable.

More than 40 people attended the last Recipe for Success, held at Threave Gardens near Castle Douglas, last week. During the event Lara Smith of Buccleuch Arms Hotel inspired businesses with recipe ideas and sourcing suggestions, Angela Kilday of Coeliac UK encouraged businesses to embrace the growing gluten-free market, while business adviser Alistair Tait talked attendees through easy ways to maximise profitability.

Liz Ramsay of Savour the Flavours said: “The speakers were absolutely inspirational and we have had phenomenal feedback from the workshop. We’re very optimistic that these workshops will make a real difference to real businesses across the region. We are not just telling people what to do – we’re showing them how easy it is to make small changes that will result in big benefits to their business.

“In the current economic climate there has never been a more important time to make sure our local businesses are as strong and as successful as possible.”

The final Recipe for Success takes place on December 3 at Stranraer Campus, Dumfries and Galloway College, at 10.30am and is free of charge.
