Wigtown in Bloom convenor Malcolm Booth and vice convenor Alex Craig along with volunteers from the town meet the Scotland in Bloom judges for this year’s competition, Stan Da Prato and Andrew Hogarth, outside the County Buildings on Tuesday.

The county town is classed as a ‘large village’ in the nationwide competition, based on population numbers, and the judges spent two hours touring the various displays created for this year’s competition by local volunteers and children involved in the community project.

Wigtown in Bloom won the VisitScotland Award for Tourism in the 2013 Beautiful Scotland Awards.
