The Mochrum Ladies Jean Armour Association has raised £240 for Newton Stewart Hospital.

The money was raised at their recent Burns Supper held in The Clansman at Port William. Under the new management of Adele Wilson, The Clansman successfully hosted the event, welcoming forty of the group’s members to engage in the enjoyment of food and entertainment.

The main speakers this year included Jean Armour worthies - Lynn, Kay, Dib, Shiralee, Tracey and Mary joined by Jill Sloan, Pauline James, Rhuna Barr and Kathryn Barr. Keith and Sheryl Thomas, former hosts of the event, joined in the celebrations via modern technology. An evening of hilarity, embracing the term, ‘laughter is the best medicine’ proved to be another worthwhile event for this enterprising group of ladies.
