Wannabe witches, wizards, mummies and ghosts are invited to the National Trust for Scotland’s Threave Garden for an evening of Halloween thrills and chills on Saturday 25 October.
There will be a host of competitions for the scariest fancy dress outfit and, of course, the best pumpkin, so get creative!
Grab a torch and take the ghostly trails into the woods. On the way you may even see some of our very own bloodcurdling bats which live in the grounds.
With fireworks and a funfair, families will enjoy a fun-filled evening in spectacular surroundings.
The estate, near Dumfries, was once owned by the famous ‘Black’ Douglases and still has the ruins of 14th century Threave Castle nearby – a setting just right for spooky happenings.
Entry is £2 for children and free for adults. The event runs from 6pm until 8.15pm. For more information, call 0844 493 2245.
