As part of British Science Week Elizabeth Tindal, one of the Biosphere Dark Sky Rangers, is asking you to join her for a free stargazing evening at Glentrool.
This is a family friendly event and you will have the opportunity to find out a bit more about stars, moon and solar system. As the event is in both the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park and the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere there will be a chance to discuss these and how important the Earth is and about its place in the rest of the Universe.
Elizabeth will bring her astro binoculars to help everyone get a good view of the new crescent moon. There will be a small fire where we can toast marshmallows bake some damper bread and a big, dark sky full of stars to look at.
Any one interested is asked to meet on 12th March at 7pm at Glentrool Old School, DG8 6SY.
Please make sure that you wear outdoor clothing and wrap up warm for the event.
