LAST week, Emma Louise Dance Club held an afternoon of Summer Dance in Newton Stewart and Whithorn.

Children participated in taster dance classes which included Lafour Prima Dance 3, a ballet based class for children aged 3-5 and Street Dance Jam, a class for 12-16 year olds to learn popular street dance technique.

Children also had a chance to try some new dance classes for Emma Louise Dance Club. Cheer Dance Jam, a class for children 6-12 yrs to learn cheerleading and jazz dance technique and Boys Street Dance, a class for boys aged seven to 12 years. Emma Louise Dance Club will be working towards its 5th annual show when classes start again after the summer holiday so all the Summer Dance classes had a Harry Potter theme. The Cheer Dance Jam class will be on Tuesdays in Newton Stewart and Garlieston on Thursdays. The Boys Street Dance will be on Thursdays in Wigtown. Emma Louise Dance Club would like to thank everyone who came along to the Summer Dance, especially photographer Mike Abel and pupils Eleanor Kain, Lydia Taylor and Caitlin McKie who helped out in class. The Summer Dance classes were lots of fun and everyone had a brilliant time.
