On Monday this week, Challoch Institute celebrated their 90th birthday with a dinner at the Creebridge House Hotel, Newton Stewart.

Thirty one members and guests attended including the National Chairman Mrs Christine Hutton, Federation Chairman Mrs Cathie Cowan and the Presidents of Loudon, Stronord, Wigtown and Kirkcowan. The cake was cut by President Mrs Tudhope, Honorary President Mrs Milroy and Mrs Hutton. After an excellent meal coffee was served in the lounge when

Mrs Lucy Owen spoke about the origins of Challoch, Mrs Cowan gave the toast, and Mrs Hutton spoke about the changing times and how we must try to encourage new members to join. Entertainment was provided by the Committee. The evening proved to be a great success enjoyed by everyone.
