These two lovely girls really are stars!

Star and Bindy came into care last month, and as they are both eight years old, its quite a culture shock for them. Having said that, Bindy, the white/red/tabby is a very very affectionate girl and will make someone a wonderful companion for the rest of her years. Star, the white/tabby is also friendly and just loves being petted and brushed. They would like to be the only pets in the household but they have lived with children of varying ages without any issues. Star and Bindy have always been kept indoors but given time, they may in future like to explore a nice quiet garden but its unlikely they would wander far. The girls have had a full health check, vaccinations, micro-chips and are neutered, so just waiting for the right home. If you think you can offer love and care to Star and Bindy please phone the Cats Protection office on 08453 714216. The office is closed on Wednesdays so please leave a message and one of our volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible.

We have several cats in care at the moment and as with all animal charities we have limited facilities to take cats in, and our waiting list of cats to come in, is around 48, with a priority system in place. People know if they are going to emmigrate or move house, have financial problems, or are just fed up with having a cat - please try and give us as much notice as possible, as we rarely can take a cat there and then (abandoning animals on doorsteps etc is actually illegal!). If an allergy develops, there are many medicines and herbal/natural options to allow management of symptoms while the cat is on the waiting list, or you could even confine the cat to a room of the house, not to be entered by the allergy sufferer! We would ask people needing their cat(s) rehomed to be patient and considerate, we WILL help as soon as we are able. Similarly if your cat is on the waiting list but perhaps a friend takes the cat on, please do give us a courtesy call to let us know.
