From Saturday, July 27, The Stewartry Museum is running an exhibition celebrating sporting achievements in our area called ‘Sporting Prowess in the Stewartry’.

The museum is keen for the local community to be part of the exhibition by displaying some of their own awards. Do you have anything you would like to lend to the museum for the exhibition? It could be grandfather’s fishing trophy from the 1940s or a medal won by someone in the under 15s tennis last year. All the museum asks is that the award was either given in the Stewartry or won by someone from the Stewartry. The items can be displayed throughout the whole exhibition, which runs until 28 September, or they can be lent for a short period during the run.
