Two men recently ran the 10k Great Scottish Run in Glasgow to raise money for the motor neurone disease charity MND Scotland.

Gavin Vance did the run in memory of his late father Lindsay, and he was joined by his step-brother Ben Thatcher, the son of Lindsay’s widow Margaret. Between them they raised a magnificent £1900 for the charity.

Lindsay, of Balnab Farm, Whithorn, sadly died of the disease on October 19 last year.
