Big hearted pupils donate to food bank

Pupils from Leswalt recently traveled to Portpatrick Church to take part in a Harvest Festival, conducted by the Rev Carolyn Baker.

Children from both Portpatrick and Leswalt Primary schools joined together and brought donations of food. Altogether, 59kg of food was collected for a local food bank.

At the Church there was a representative from the guide dogs from the blind, who had brought along a guide dog. This linked in with P1-4 in both schools learning about the five senses.

A collection was taken at the church and pupils at Portpatrick Primary also dressed up in bright neon colours on the last day of term to help try and raise money for the charity. In total £83.47 was raised.
