Letters: Thanks for cash help

May I through the Gazette thank all the people who contributed to my Christmas appeal for Children in Distress. The appeal was to raise £500 to sponsor a teenager in Romania and I am so pleased that, thanks to the generosity of local people, I now have £970 ready to be sent away – £500 to sponsor a teenager and the balance to help the other children in the orphanages that Children in Distress administers in Romania.
